Regenerative  Recovery

CUPPING:

Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist places specialized cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. This negative vacuum pressure gently lifts the fascia in order to improve regeneration and remodeling of irritable tissue.  This type of therapy can be complimentary in helping with pain, scar tissue remodeling, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being.

Depending on the area you want cupped, the practitioner will choose specific sized cups and leave them for varying lengths of time. Cups are applied with the aid of a hand pump, creating a suction effect that lifts the skin to the surface and permits blood to flow through. This improves blood flow and circulation, helps relieve aching muscles, releases joint stiffness, and may reduce inflammation for a variety of acute and chronic conditions. Following the treatment, there will be circular marks on the skin that will take a few days to go away.

Benefits of Cupping:

- Increased mobility

- Increased circulation

- Muscle Tension Reduction

- Vacant Fascia

- Minimize discomfort

SCRAPING (IASTM)

Instrument-assisted soft-tissue mobilization (IASTM), otherwise known as muscular scraping, helps aid in muscle tissue adhesion pliability. This manual therapy method has been shown to hasten the healing of soft tissue injuries, including those to the muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fascia. A myofascial instrument is used while scraping muscles. This

self-massage tool can be used to treat body areas that have trigger points or have inflamed, aching muscles.

The practitioner would scrape back and forth over any specific, constrictive sore spots. This treatment may be quite helpful for patients who experience fascia limitations, strained muscles, or scar tissue formation. Although there will be some discomfort, the treatments will increase your flexibility and range of motion.  When coupled with stretching and strengthening, IASTM is intended to improve connective tissue function and help aid in tissue regeneration and recovery.

Benefits of Muscle Scraping:

- Flexibility

- Dissolve scar tissue

- Non-invasive

- Removes trigger points & knots

- Improve Performance
