What to expect? For your initial consultation you should expect a full body evaluation, with focus on the site of pain described by the patient. The consultation will last about an hour. You may experience some discomfort after the session but it is normal after poking around and trying to find the source of pain! Once you schedule your appointment, you will recieve an email with a link to an intake form. Please fill out this intake form before your visit.
-
What to wear? For your initial evaluation or any physical therapy or bodywork session, please wear athletic clothing. Shorts are best because it gives the practitioner easier access to the muscle groups of the lower extremities.

Why don't you take insurance? Our mission is to put the power of your health and wellness back into your hands. In order to provide high quality, personalized care we have chosen quality over quantity. The care you receive at traditional physical therapy clinics contracted with insurance carriers is often dictated or influenced by health insurance companies. By not accepting insurance, we can offer individualized care to achieve your goals. Our goal is to spend one-on-one time with patients to gain results faster in a shorter amount of time. *Keep in mind we will also provide an itemized receipt for you so that you can submit to your insurance if you have out of network benefits.
-
How do you take payment?VeloFit, LLC is an out-of-network provider with all insurance carriers so we do not accept health insurance plans. We operate as a fee-for-service practice and do not contract with insurance providers. We accept cash, checks, credit cards, debit cards, Venmo, health savings accounts (HSA) and flexible spending accounts (FSA). Payment is due at the time of service.

Do I need a referral for PT?As of July 1st, 2023, Virginia is now a full direct access state which means that PT’s are now able to evaluate and treat a patient without a need for a referral or prescription. We also now are able to dry needle without requiring a script from a doctor. This means quicker access when you need it and without a ceiling or restriction to your treatment. https://www.dhp.virginia.gov/physicaltherapy/
