Why don't you take insurance?
Our mission is to put the power of your health and wellness back into your hands. In order to provide high quality, personalized care we have chosen quality over quantity. The care you receive at traditional physical therapy clinics contracted with insurance carriers is often dictated or influenced by health insurance companies. By not accepting insurance, we can offer individualized care to achieve your goals. Our goal is to spend one-on-one time with patients to gain results faster in a shorter amount of time.
*Keep in mind we will also provide an itemized receipt for you so that you can submit to your insurance if you have out of network benefits.
How do you take payment?
VeloFit, LLC is an out-of-network provider with all insurance carriers so we do not accept health insurance plans. We operate as a fee-for-service practice and do not contract with insurance providers. We accept cash, checks, credit cards, debit cards, health savings accounts (HSA) and flexible spending accounts (FSA). Payment is due at the time of service.
Do I need a referral for PT?
In the state of Virginia, you are able to see a physical therapist without a prescription for 30 days. This is called Direct Access, which allows you to save time and money by giving you immediate access to care as soon as you need it.
What to wear?
For your initial evaluation or any physical therapy session with Dr. Sohn, please wear athletic clothing. Shorts are best because it gives Dr. Sohn easier access to the muscle groups of the lower extremities.
